My son and I were discussing the fact that my siblings and I never have real fights ("real" as in, I thought, serious or unresolved while my older son meant Punch Your Face In).
"When L. and I are grown up and have families of our own, we'll probably be at Thanksgiving together, and L. and I will get into some huge battle over something, but I'll throw him down on the dinner table and stick a carving knife into the center of his chest and I'll escape in my car to Mexico and eat burritos and drink cheap soda and live off the winnings from my cockfight bets."
I spent a few seconds processing what I had heard and the available responses, and then said, "You definitely score some points for creativity there, honey."

Well, yes. It is a tad worrisome. Later he told me it was a quote from his older half-sibling (son of X-man), to the word. Which I suppose should have made me feel better....
